Carolyn Hall, owner of David’s Gallery in Gulf Shores, attended the U.S.A. CBD Expo at the Miami Beach Convention Center last month. With more than 300 CBD, hemp and cannabis vendors and 13,500 attendees, some of the products being offered were CBD infused water, canned drinks, coffee, chocolate, gummies, food bars, pet products, flower and pre-rolls, vapes, shampoo, sunscreen, bath bombs, pain salves, moisturizers and sublingual tinctures.
Workshops and discussions focused mostly on the business side of the hemp industry including topics such as market trends, health benefits, legality and medicinal use. According to Hall, representatives from various labs that provide third party testing mentioned that soon a quality report QR code may be printed on all products to link to lab tests that ensure all hemp-derived products have legal amounts of THC (0.3 percent or less).
